maintenance Services
The best way to keep your vehicle environmentally friendly is by performing regularly scheduled maintenance, rather than waiting to correct a problem after your car fails an inspection or emissions test. If the SERVICE ENGINE SOON or CHECK ENGINE light appears, contact us and have it checked out immediately.. Neglecting these warning signs can cause lead to more extensive and expensive repairs.
Air Conditioning Service
Without regular maintenance an air conditioner loses about 5% of its original efficiency per year. The refrigerant needs recharged after a couple of years. There are two types of refrigerant that are used in auto air conditioners. The older of the two is called Freon, or R12, while the other one is R134. R12 was the one that was used in cars produced before1995. After 1995 all cars started using a refrigerant called R134. We service both types of systems and can convert older R12 to R134 on your vintage or classic car. We can alsopPressure test engine cooling system to insure that the A/C system pressures are measured and compared to manufacturer's specification and that there are not leaks in the A/C system.

Battery & Electrical System
We can help you choose the right battery for your vehicle and lifestyle. Our staff can safely and professionally install your battery and get you back on the road.
Your car's electrical system powers everything from the ignition and fuel systems to accessories such as your radio, headlights and wipers. The electrical system is, in turn, powered by the engine. We can perform a complete system check which includes the Battery, the Charging System including the alternator and voltage regulator and the Starting System which includes the solenoid, and the starter motor.

Belts & Hose Service
Exposure to heat, vibration and contamination makes belts and hoses wear out faster than any other components in your car. That's why regular inspections are so important. We check the Alternator Belt, Water Pump belt for engine cooling, Power Steering Pump belt, Air Conditioning Compressor belt, and Radiator Cooling Fan belt. We also check the Radiator and Heater Hoses, Fuel and Power Steering hose.

Brake Service & Systems
The brake system is actually composed of two kinds of systems---Hydraulics and Friction Materials. We start with checking fluid levels in the Master Cylinder and move through the brake system checking the brake lines and hoses until we finish with check of the wheel cylinders. We then check both the drum and calipers & rotors. We complete the service inspection with an examination of the brake pads and emergency brake functions. On late model cars we also check the Computer-controlled anti-lock braking system.

Cooling System Maintenance
Our ASE Certified Technician's check the Interior controls and blower, Radiator coolant level, hoses, pressure cap and thermostat, the A/C compressor belt for condition and tension, system leaks or other damage and a complete review of all the component condition that may be subject to leaks or damage.

CV Joints & Drive Axle
An easy way for you to tell if you need to see us for axle repair is to go out to a big parking lot, and slowly drive in tight circles. If you hear a clicking or cracking noise, you have a worn joint, and it must be repaired immediately.

Regular Oil Changes
Consult your owner's manual, but consider that vintage and classic cars may have recommend longer intervals between old changes. One of the reasons why new vehicles have engines that last to hundreds of thousands of miles is that the oil is changed at closer intervals. Oii and filter changes every 3,000 miles or 3 months are one of the best investments in the long term value of your vehicle.

Suspension & Steering
Worn or loose components affect the ability to control the toe angle, and may result in a loss of directional stability and accelerated tire wear. We do a complete analysis of the Steering Gear Box, the Center Links, Pitman Arms, Idler Arm, and Tie Rods as well as the Rack and Pinion Assembly & Bellows Boots. Worn or loose components in the suspension systems affect the ability to control motion and alignment angles which results in a deterioration of vehicle handling and stability, and accelerated tire wear. We inspect and repair the Control Arms, Ball Joints, Coil and/or Leaf Springs, the Shock Absorbers and/or Struts.

Transmission
Transmission problems typically arise when regular service is neglected. When fluids aren't properly changed, heat caused from mileage friction results in rough shifting, accelerated wear, and even complete failure. We drain transmission and torque converter and refill Automatic Transmission Fluids (ATF) or DOT 2 or DOT 3 for manual systems with new fluid.
